Artist Statement

I weave textiles, natural materials, and the written word to create pieces that invite people to reflect on our shared human experience. My art is an emergent practice in color, perspective, and rhythm that aspires to challenge what we currently know to be true. I love working with my hands and am inspired by the opportunity to restore, reconstitute, and celebrate the quality of material with previous lives. This can be seen in the reconditioned wood frames, skirts turned into scenes, and fallen branches that give life to landscapes. For me, art is an offering of connection in my chosen language.
